I hereby declare that I love my school's teachers. They are such a sweet bunch of people! They are just so sporting, especially the bunch of teachers who joined our school in the recent years [after our batch did]. This year's teachers' day celebrations is really the best we've ever had, since Sec1 when the teachers did an American Idol-like mega performance. [Remember the Black Eyed Peas? Atomic Kittens?]
At first, for the students' performance, I almost died of boredom just sitting there in the sun. It was not just bad, alright? [Heh I'm so mean.] Alicia, Dawn, Yajie, JN and I took the chance to go for the dentist appointment. In the end, we told the nurse to postponed the appointment. She actually agreed readily! So nice of her. XD Back in our seats, I was feeling kinda suspicious since loads of teachers were missing when they were giving out the Ms and Mr blah blah awards and the delications to different departments. Then when the concert was coming to an end [sigh of relieve], Mrs Deborah Tan went up the stage, solemnly telling us that there seemed to be many students missing among us, and she wanted to do a roll call to see if any class had poned school. Since we are the senior girls, she started with our batch first. Then when she was finished with 415 [she skipped some classes since it was a random check], she called out, '417?' And obviously, there isn't a 417! Our level only has 16 classes. So some of us were like 'huh?' and some people even shouted out to her that there isn't a 417. But she despite that, repeated herself twice, and just as we were utterly sure that she has forgotten there ain't a 417, MR ALDRIN TEE, MR DANIEL LAU AND MR JOSEPH TOH RAN OUT IN A FRENZY! In school uniform! [And pink ties -.-] The uniform is similar to ACS[I]'s, I think. Then finally realizing that a surprise performance by the teachers was up, we screamed and cheered as a dozen other male teachers strolled out to the stage as well, wearing green ties and red name tags.
Bla Institute! Sons of a better age! The 'Class Booking's! The skit was freaking hilarious. They were such a bunch of rebellious students! Besides Aldrin Tee [Cantee XD] of course, who was the head prefect. XD
So here's the cast:
Mr Aldrin Tee [Cantee(n)] - Head Prefect. 'Search your hearts!' [So Mr Tee heh.] Mr Joseph Toh [Ping] - Overly enthusiastic prefect Mr Daniel Lau [Pong] - Prefect Mr De Souza [Spider] - Eh knee-high socks? XD Mr Chang [Old Chang Kee] Mr Ng Pei Tong [ - 'My teachers allowed me to fill to go to the toilet to fill my water bottle!' Mr Kenneth Tan [KT] - Master of Chaos. Mr Sean Yeoh [Yo (Yeoh) Whazzup?] - Rich dude. Rebellious guy. [Lollipop was his breakfast 0.0] Mr James Ong [James Bond] - Haha always faking sickness heh? Mr Jason Ng [Jason Bourne] Mr Chia [Jack the beanstalk] - Another sickly guy. Mr Ben [? (I can think of a good one. Benana anyone?)] Mr Sarabijit Singh [Sab Singh] - High-fiving the teacher when she put up her hand to request for silence during Hall Assembly. Could shoot paper aeroplanes really well. [I guess it helps, being a physics teacher..] Mr Christopher Ow [?] Mrs Prama [As herself] Ms Hoo [As herself] Mrs Deborah Tan [As herself] Mrs Shirley Tan [As herself] Ms May Tan [As herself] Mrs Mohammad [As herself] Ms Christina [As herself] Mr Lorenzo Angel [Larry] - Played the guitar Mr John Phinellus [Johnny] - Played the guitar
Oh I'm sure I've missed out quite a number of teachers. Oh whatever. I'll add them in if some kind soul were to post the video on youtube. -stares at someone- Ah the cheering was funny too! Such high pitch! XD 都豁出去了。The skit was GREAT!! I love the teachers for giving us such great entertainment! THANK YOU TEACHERS!
I think I'll miss them. :(
'Hey I'm Ping!' - said JToh. 'Hello I'm Pong!' - said Daniel Lau. 'So together we are.. Ping Pong!'
Me YanYee and Amanda DID NOT go back to Northland. We did loiter outside the school compound though, after realizing that Northpoint is such a boring place. After sitting around Yishun Park for an hour or more, we had to take refuge in Yishun Safra to avoid the insects that infest the area. Gah. Northland has changed so much. I won't be going back there anymore, I reckon.
I am bored. Shall go watch MayDay's 你要去哪裏 now. (: Or maybe 天空之城 again. [怪獸的媽媽好可憐。我哭!]
Going Down the Memory Lane Friday, August 24, 2007
Bored with life, I took a stroll down the memory lane again.
This time round, I went through a file I haven't touched for more than a year. This file.. contains snippets of my childhood. You'll be amazed how many newspaper clippings and pages from magazines this 40-folder ugly, green thing can hold.
First page: A Matrix Reloaded poster-page from 8days. The date: 17 May 2003. Uhhuh. The date of The Matrix Reloaded release. That's like.. 4 years ago.
Second page till tenth page: More Matrix related articles. In fact, I musta've be crazy about Keanu Reeves. The first ten pages were all dedicated to Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. All I lacked was the original Matrix's articles, that's all. I have movie reviews in there, Matrix game ads [oh wow] and one advertisement selling the collectors' edition of The Matrix trilogy, with 10dvds [gasp!], undoubtedly filled to the brim with extras and behind-the-scenes, selling at a freaking 100bucks. I still remember, it was my dream then to own the whole set. (!!) I am so glad that now I've directed my impulsive buying behaviour towards something more worthwhile. [yeah right]
11th page: One folder packed full with Pirates of the Caribbean clippings, Dead Man's Chest postcards, stickers etc. But those goodies weren't there before July last year, which was the last time I touched this file. Digging through the pages, found out that it originally held one single page of movie reviews, of films like X-Men II and Legally Blonde II, but was then covered by a page advertising Maple Story [Another gasp!] Ludibrium, and then it was again buried by layers of Pirates of the Caribbean stuffs.
12th page: Erm this is the original page I was talking about. Oh now I know why I kept this. There's a teeny weeny bit of the Matrix Reloaded review there.
13th page: Contents page of Lime's May 2003 issue. Apparently, there's a small picture of the cover of the mag. It's Neo's face, man. And there's supposed 'Trix of Trade article in page 44, it says. Oh, and I see a picture of 5566 too. [Rolls eyes]
14-15th page: Hah! Two pages on Keanu Reeves! They talked about his older movies as well. Like.. Speed! Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! [Woots I loved Speed. Oh wait. I still do, right?] Hmm the Seoul Garden ad says that a Kid's buffet meal cost $8.88. Do you see loads of 'fa's? My eyes are going 8.8 Must be because it was Chinese New Year.
16th page: Eh a Matrix dvd advertisement? I see loads of Agent Smiths! [My dear Hugo Weavings the Elrond. XD]
17th page: X-Men related things. Mostly X-Men II. [Aww Wolverine!] Didn't know I used to like them. Or did I?
18th page: An article on sequels from Zaobao. I think there were many sequels that year, just like there were many remakes last year. This year is another sequel-year. It's just a recurring thing. Like leap years. That year, XXX, X-Men, Terminator III, LOTRs, Matrix, Dumb and Dumber, Fast and Furious, Harry Potter sequels were made, plus some more. Oh and they said I Not Stupid II wouldn't be possible. I'm sure.
19-20th, 22-29th page(s): All about Lord of the Rings! Premieres, reviews, articles, that sort of things. Oh the critics loved it. They raved about it. They went head over tail with it. I guess they deserve the 9 Oscars. [Is it? My memory is failing me. Must be getting old.]
21th: Once again, The Matrix pops up when you least expect it.
30-31th: Can you believe it? Linkin Park and Jay-Z. H to the izz-O, V to the izz-A! Collision Course, man. Get ready for some nerve-numbing encore! [Shit you won't hear it from me again, but I used to be able to recite the whole rap. 0.0 Like how I memorized the Black Eyed Peas raps. 0.0X2]
32-37th: Random clippings of Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Bad boys, Mr and Mrs Smith. Oh, and Jude Law. Cold Mountain, anyone? [Finally watched it last year. It is.. not really THAT good.]
38-39th: MTV Asia Awards Attendees. Featuring Linkin Park, Blue, Missy Elliot.. You know that sort. And a small clipping of the book Underworld. Yep you heard it correct. The book, not the movie. Oh I loved the book. I loved the prequel book too! It's called Blood Brothers. Tells us why the Lupins hated the Vampires. The start of all the feud. Because of a.. Vamp princess and a Lupe servant. Sounds dumb but the book is great. The movie was.. sucky. [And rated.] Such a disappointment.
Last page: My Sec1 orientation booklet! I haven't thrown it away. 0.0 I think I'm in love with the school, after all. Heh.
All the loose pages that are NOT filed but conveniently slotted at the back: CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS. My whole life is there. I have five 18sky and Running Havens stickers, courtesy of Alice who bought them from China. A CSI Miami Season 4 advert, a full page Liverpool F.C. article, many pages of American Idol [and Simon Cowell], some Harry Potter articles, Maroon 5 articles, eh a Westlife's Bryan going solo article, Sum 41, Green Day, Princess Diaries, Cinderella Story, Black Eyed Peas, Blue, Simple Plan, Ryan Seacrest, Final Destination, Closer, Mr and Mrs Smith, Howl's Moving Castle, Z-pop.. Like basically everything I loved, liked, okayed, hated. No X-Files though. [Since Mr Spooky is even more ancient than The Matrix. Boy, I do miss those days watching clips of X-files fanvids. Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely vid kinda made me like Backstreet Boys.] No MayDay or Sodagreen too. I have another folder for such stuffs now. Maybe a few years down the road, I'll look through THOSE.
Man. I seriously need to revise Chemistry now. Oh wait. It's Chem-Misery. Pooft.
[Can't wait for Sweeney Todd! It's a clash of Captain Jack Sparrow and Severus Snape, and how interesting that is! Go JDepp, go Alan Rickman!]
Royston Tan came to our school a week ago and made quite an impression, I think. [With his.. err.. Yeah you-know-what.]
Beautiful song. XD

Restless
Numb3rs is cool! I've just watched the first season again, since my CSI:NY Season1-2 and Miami Dade Season1-4 are not with me. Pooft. [I still prefer Mac Taylor and gang. Can't wait for CSI:NY Season4!]
看招我的眼睛 爲什麽要哭泣 那幸福太容易 讓我不敢相信
勾勾手蓋手印 這一刻有約定 那愛情變美麗 因爲我開始相信
Shit I love this song.
Okay since I'm so bored, shall spam this place with MayDay and Sodagreen videos.
五月天 - 彩虹 [I musta've posted this at least 3 times this year]
I am wasting money on unnecessary things again. Please. Someone. Slap. Me.
I mean, sure, I will use the files. [I'll force myself to.] Okay, the handphone strap is nice to have. But what's the use of a towel? And a doll? [Though it's a really cute doll, but that's beside the point.] Slap me now!
