Hi there

Well I guess SYF is over (let's take a breather) ...

I can't say all this to the whole CO considering we're stopping practice till after EOIs, so might as well tell you through email.

I don't know whether you all are happy or not, but one thing is for sure, that you all demonstrated that you tried your best and that is what I'm really proud of, for you all showed the CO arena that you all could get decent results out of a very young orchestra (not in terms of how long the orchestra has been around but in terms of the experience of the members forming the orchestra). We have about 70-80% of the orchestra having only learnt for 1 year or so, so I think it's a remarkable achievement to get gold with that statistic. And irregardless of what happened on stage, what happened before is clearcut enough that you all really tried hard to attain what you hoped to attain, and that dedication is something to be really proud of.
As I said before, the results don't matter; what matters is that you know you've tried your best. Especially under such a tense situation.

And for that, Zhao Meng and I just want to thank all of you for putting your best foot forward, achieving what I deem is a very satisfying result for many of us and keeping the RGCO spirit there all the time. We know what we are capable of, so we will continue fighting harder all the way ok? There's still concerts and '07 SYF to fight for, so let us think ahead, work ahead and jiayou!

Thanks to the sectional leaders as well for working so hard to ensure that your section keeps up with expectations...for ensuring that you all kept the spirit going...and for ensuring everyone is united in their goal to work hard. :)
